I want to say thank you all who prayed for us last week
about {this} request. The girls
both enjoyed 5 full days of VBS last week (while Nick and I were in meetings
from 8 to 5!). Even though I had
been really anxious prior to this about Mayah’s allergies, I had complete peace
every day she was there. The
teachers were awesome about taking every precaution to make sure she didn’t eat
anything she shouldn’t. They were
such a blessing to us!
Of course, the day after VBS was over, I gave Mayah a
“gluten-free, nut-free” muffin from a local bakery here in Thailand. I used the quotation marks because even
though that’s what it was advertised as, apparently there was a mix up. She had a major allergic reaction! Thankfully, I always carry medicine
with me, so she was back to her normal self within a few hours. But we did make a quick trip to the
hospital just to have her checked out.
Thankfully, everything was fine!
We really do appreciate your prayers for our family’s
health. We have seen God’s
protection over Mayah in so many ways.
