We went out to dinner last night with some college students. During our dinner, we learned a couple of interesting things:
1. If you cut your baby's hair a lot, her hair will be black. (What?) Maybe this is why Chinese babies always have short hair--their parents want to make sure their children have black hair instead of blonde. Of course!
2. When a stranger takes your baby from your arms and takes her to a different part of the restaurant--if your baby begins to cry, this means she is "very naughty." (What?) Actually, it is very common for random people to hold Abby. At stores, the employees love to hold her and take pictures with her. At restaurants, the waitresses love to hold her and play with her. On the sidewalk, old ladies will stop us and want to hold her. (Being a very cute baby with very white skin makes you very famous around here.) I am very thankful that usually, Abby loves it--but sometimes, she doesn't.
Note to self: Don't ever cut Abby's hair, and teach her about stranger danger.
