Asher

I have a confession to make.  I was kind of terrified to have a 3^rd child.  I mean, I was definitely excited about it too, but I just could not imagine life with 3 kids.  Both Nick and I grew up in households with only one sibling, so more than 2 kids was almost like a foreign concept.  But from the second this little guy was born, I knew that our family would not be complete without him!  And now, 7 weeks later, it feels like he has always been a part of our family.

 Asher is a super laid-back baby.  He loves to just hang out in his bouncy seat and watch whatever is going on around him!  I think it helps that he has 2 big sisters who adore him and love to just sit and stare and him, talk to him, and hold him.  If he wants something, he lets out one little yelp, then waits for us to respond.  Now, if we don’t respond to his one yelp, he does start to get a little upset.  But with 4 people around to meet his every need, he doesn’t usually resort to crying :)

He smiles many, many times a day.  He just started really focusing on our faces and he responds to his name with a big smile.  He started cooing a couple of days ago.  He will have his 2-month check-up in a couple of weeks, but I think he is already up to 12 pounds.  Currently, his favorite activities are bath time, and staring at this red wall hanging we have in our living room.
