When we are in Bangkok, one of our favorite places to go is Swensen's. It is an old-fashioned ice cream parlor with the most wonderful ice cream. (Fun fact: When I was pregnant with Abigail, and we were in Bangkok waiting for her to be born, we went to Swensen's every single day for a month. After eating stir fry for the first 8 months, ice cream became one of my main food groups.)
So we were excited to learn that Swensen's was opening a branch where we live! They were scheduled to open a few months ago, but each time they would announce the opening day, someone would go and find out it had been postponed. Well, they finally got things together and opened about a month ago. We went one afternoon to check it out.
All future family outings will be to the ice cream parlor!
