Mayah is 4!

Our little Mayah Joy turned four this week! She is energetic, independent, imaginative, and mischievous. She definitely keeps us on our toes!

We planned a fun-filled family day to celebrate her birthday.  The number one priority for the day was to ride the Ferris wheel in our town.  {Remember when we rode it for Abigail's birthday?} Well, when we got there it was raining.  The man who runs the Ferris wheel said it was too dangerous to run in the rain.  So we had to wait a while.  Finally it stopped raining (enough) and we convinced the man to let us ride.

It was just a little windy at the top.

And I tried not to freak out too much this time.  We had a firm grip on her at all times.  Because this:

So the Ferris wheel is now officially a birthday transition.  It was fun.  I told the girls we might ride it again before our trip to the States.  And at thirty cents a person, maybe we could go around a few times!

We also ate at one of our favorite restaurants that just moved right on the lake. The girls loved eating their chicken satay ("chicken-on-a-stick" as it is known at our house) while standing on the deck overlooking the water.  I think before we return to the States I need to teach my kids how to sit down to eat a meal.  We'll work on it.

On the agenda for the day was also swimming! Rainy season isn't quite over, but the weather was nice enough that the girls swam in the doggy pool (as opposed to the kiddie pool. Get it?) the whole time.

Added to all of that excitement were all of the wonderful presents she received from family.  It was like Christmas morning around here!

Ok, not the most exciting interview.  I couldn't even keep her focused for the 2 minutes it took to ask all the questions!
