This was our first Halloween to celebrate overseas (last year we were traveling). We got together with the other Americans in town to have our own "Fall Festival" LC-style. The plan was to carve pumpkins, but it is really difficult to find big orange pumpkins in town. There are many vegetables that are called pumpkin, but most are not orange. And if they are orange, they aren't round like what you would see in the States. Our friends managed to find a few pumpkins for carving and we had a great time!
We enjoyed apple pie while we carved our pumpkins. We had a great time hanging out with everyone. After a delicious chili dinner, we roasted marshmallows and the kids bobbed for apples. We ended the night by playing games together.
Almost ready for bed! Abby was out past her bedtime so she just fell asleep in her sling while the grown-ups played Apples to Apples.
Nice call with the Mike Conley jersey! Glad to see you guys are doing well!

ReplyDelete• this blog layout is cute. i suspect k is behind it (wouldn't N's be superman-themed?)
ReplyDelete• abby is adorable. and "abby" is adorable, though i thought you were trying for "abigail" every time?
• i'm glad to see you're using a sling (even against recommendations from a certain "wise" someone)!
• i like how we change "halloween" to "harvest festival" and others in society change "christmas" to "holiday". its like we're trying to one-up each other in the generic naming of the other's occasions.
well, when she was first born i really wanted to call her abigail. but we go back and forth. i love using a sling! we don't even own a stroller so it's the only way abby gets carried around :)
