One of the fun things about the city we live in is that there is an American Embassy nearby. Well, the Embassy itself is probably not a fun place, unless you consider adding pages to your passport fun. But connected with the Embassy is the American club. For a small membership fee, our family has access to all that the club has to offer--a swimming pool, playground, restaurant, gym, and softball fields. I cannot tell you how excited Nick was to see those fields.
In the winter months, they have softball leagues that play on Saturday mornings. Kids 4 and up can play T-ball, so one Saturday morning we went to the club to watch the kids play. Abigail will be able to play next year, and Nick was excited for her to try out the new glove and ball she got for her birthday. So while the other kids were playing T-Ball, we played out in the outfield.
Even Mayah had fun throwing the ball around! I am sure Nick will look for many more opportunities to impart his love of baseball onto the girls in the months to come!
