Wow, it has been a while since I have updated here! Weird computer glitches have kept me
from posting, but then I realized I have a second computer. Why it took me 2 months to realize
this, I know not. I feel like
having 2 kids has taken away some of my brain cells.
I had written this post many moons ago and it never got
posted. Here it is now! Back in June Nick finished his first
semester of teaching English. The
last week of class we had his students over for dinner.
I decided to serve them Mexican food. I did a burrito bar so they could
pick and choose what they wanted.
I was glad to see that they all went back for seconds! They all said they really liked the
salsa because it was similar to a local tomato salad. For dessert the students brought us ice cream and cheesecake
(with real cheddar sprinkled on top!)
We ended the evening by teaching them some games. They had fun playing Uno, Skipbo, and
even Apples to Apples.
After a 6-week break, Nick just started a new semester of
teaching. He drives downtown
Tuesday and Friday afternoons to teach an Intermediate grammar class. More fun parties to come!
